Anyone suported by a public employee union is gonna vote to increase spending on public employees. I'm of the mind that there should be VERY VERY few public employees and they should get paid on par with their private sector counterparts. A city painter in San Diego earns 48K annually with full benies and retirement. A FUCKIGN PAINTER.

I don't mind. I'd have my privately contracted gardener clean it up. He makes $7 an hour. No bennies, no retirement. Because that's what the market says he's worth. If I had a city gardener he'd show up every 2 months for 20 minutes, pretend not to see the shit on my lawn, and if i called him on it he'd run to the union and i'd have a formal complaint filed against me.
