God, I hate this city.

City Council moves ahead on plastic bag ban

They call it a "ban" but the plan currently being kicked around is a surcharge of $.05 per plastic bag. The city would get a penny and the retailer would keep the rest. While the grocery store I use is in city limits, there's one pretty close that is not. Fuck your hippie canvas bags.

Fortunately it wasn't my machine. And even more fortunately, I'd backed up the drive right before I fried it.
