At the pump today i hit the $10 mark and had pumped 3.2 gallons of texas tea. Most of the country is up over the 3 dollar mark and from what i gather its going straight past 4 dollars a gallon.

Isnt this what happened to mexico in the 80's? Gas prices went up with interest rates which produced mass inflation?

Im all for taking some fucking oil tankers and filling that shit up in islomostan and pumping those turban wearing poop flingers dry of all the goddamn oil over there. Fuck them, allah dont need oil like taco needs oil.

From another forum, taken this afternoon in georgia.

I heard tops was $5.57 with a 10 gallon minimum in Atlanta. We're still under $3 a gallon but i think that's just cuz some of the gas stations didn't get out to the price boards yet.

Bad feeling about Friday, gonna top both cars off tomorrow.

In the burbs here I've seen $2.99, which means that in SF it's prolly $3.50 at least. I'm gonna gas up tomorrow just in case.

Filled up everything I had including my two jerry cans tonigth @ $2.73. Went up from $2.53 to $2.73 and to the highest was $2.99. This spike should level around $4 a gallon before going back down.

this is not a supply issue. this is a government regulation issue. between taxes, and red tape your gasoline costs about 40% more than it should. The real issue here is the fucking epa and the ecofaggots preventing us from building refineries. There's a gigantic bottleneck where the crude go in and the gas come out. gasoline is a supply and demand item just like everythign else in the free market.


hawaii just instituted a wholesale gas cap. which means you can't sell gasoline to a service station for more than $2.XX per gallon. Well gas what hawaii you socialist fat brown retards, nobody's gonna sell you gas.

The saudis can pump to their absolute capacity, but untill there are enough refineries to pump out what we want the prices will keep going up. too bad we're not allowed to build them. Blame politicians, bureaucrats, and environmental lobbiests for your light wallet. They're the ones fucking up the free market.

I was surprised that they halted the EPA regs on gasoline for all 50 states. No more "botique" fuels for the time being. They also are allowing truclers to drive more than the 10/8 they had been held to.

Jim is right...it's our refining capacity (or lack thereof) that is the big problem. What truly pisses me off is how the price change on fuel that has already been bought and paid for. If the last tanker dropped three days ago and the price was $x.xx it should NOT change until the station purchases more gas. The cost of the gas already in the tanks didn't fucking change. It's fucking price gouging pure and simple.

i kind of understand where they're at though. diamond prices are set by debeers. I pay what they say or i dont get. If the price goes up while i have stock i have 2 choices. Sell at old price and replace with either lesser quality or lesser quantity, or sell at new price and replace with same.

Jim i see where you're coming from but at some point doesn't it have to be considered price gouging?

As noted above, we do not have an oil shortage.

We haven't built any NEW refineries in years... the ones we do have are running at 98% capacity 24 hours a day. At least they removed the boutique blending.
