You could do that no problem. You just need the reporter, and use the relay output to a PC interface. When it senses the contact closure, it would launch an .exe that would text message your phone.

Actually, I had a motion sensor web-cam hooked up to a laptop for a while after I got my house back because my ex kept coming around and plus the death threat thingy, but I gave that shit up a long time ago.

Well, you're in a lower crime area than I am.

The sex offender hotel is right down the road, we gots a meth house, and some stinking beaners moved into a rental just across the main road from the entrance to my cul de sac. Filthy fucks. Crap in the yard, apparently they don't have a mower. They replaced some white trash that at least kept the place tidy.

That, and some punk kids were chucking eggs for a while there and I wanted to catch them and mete out my own justice.

We don't have any of that high tech shit for our door. Our plan of action is simple.

Mormons knock, I answer the door with a loud "JESUS CHRIST, HONEY ITS THOSE FUCKING MORMONS AGAIN"

Anyone else knocks, I answer, listen to their pitch, I agree (somewhat) and then tell them to hold on a minute. I shut the door, and walk away to the other window...and see how long they stand there.

I do the same thing with telemarketers on the phone. I tell them to hold on, and sit the phone down until I hear the "beep beep, if you'd like to make a call, etc..."
