I'm not saying they shouldn't

I'm saying it's a fucked piece of real estate and always has been and always will be, and we accomplish nothing by coming to their aid.

I will however point out that the place DID NOT EXIST until the end of WWII when all the big players at the time felt sorry for the little hook-noses because a very bad man did very bad things to them.

So we had a HUGE bunch of real estate in the godforsaken dessert where only assholes would want to live. (Taco don't you live in Arizona?) So we decide we're gonna give these bankers and Deli owners a spot right in the middle of a bigger spot full of people who have hated the bankers for 1300+ years. Oh on top of that we're gonna give them the single best port in the region and also a city that is a very very holy site for 3 different groups of people who haven't gotten along very well EVER.

Now the circumstances of this miraculous creation of a nation out of nothing certainly make for a real fuckup of a situation where both teams can legitimately claim title to the real estate. It is at this point where we reach unavoidable culprit in all of it.

Religion.

All 3 groups who claim Jerusalem as their own all worship the same deity. The God of Abraham is Allah, Yahweh, Father + Son+Holy Spirit. Somehow when these 5 gods who are really just 1 god spoke to his prophets they all got different messages. All 3 groups of worshipers were told by god they have rightful claim to the same property and they are morally A-OK to do whatever they need to reclaim it. This, in turn, brings us to the most fucked up philosophical paradox one can encounter. The more crazy and sinister the group, the higher the level of intellectual integrity. Conversely the more "reformed" or "modern" sects of each religion are intellectual hypocrites who believe that they're reading the word of god but are somehow capable of analyzing his word and interpreting it until they're comfortable with its meshing in today's modern world.

All 3 holy texts clearly state that unbelievers are to be slaughtered. Even "Peace & Love" Jesus said it. So the more closely one follows the core writings of their beliefs the more intellectual integrity they have. At the same time, the ones who are the most insane by modern standards, the jihadists, the abortion bombers, and the militant zionist orthodox jews are clearly in the wrong by any sane rationale.

So here's my position: They're all fucking stupid. People are going to be murdered unnecesarrily on both sides because a 600+ year old book said they need to. We should have NO part in it unless attacked directly by hezbollah or any nation in the region.

And if for some reason hezbollah does attack us that DOES NOT mean we're on Israel's team. I'd just prefer to handle our business as our business and let the whacko religious people slaughter themselves silly
