The Avett Brothers are three-time nominees for this year’s Americana Music Association awards, pitting them against artists who helped define the genre. Besides “Duo of the Year,” and “New and Emerging Artist of the Year,” the folk rock (or "indie roots", supposedly) band founded by Scott and Seth Avett is pitted against Bob Dylan, Patty Griffin and Lucinda Williams for “Album of the Year.” |
