I have the SEVENTEEN INCH screen at work with a SECOND SCREEN at FOURTEEN INCHES (lappy)

I do it because I don't want all that extra screen square footage killling teh environment.

That is mostly true, but Dell does offer XP on a few models on the business side. It's not advertised heavily but can be done. Not many reputable businesses upgraded to Vista, and Microsoft is allowing quiet licensing of XP even as we speak. That's why there is the windows 7 rush we are seeing now. They need the corporate licensing to keep them afloat. Their home sales amount to dick as someone like dell or HP pays $6-7 for a copy of windows they sell. Retail box OS sales are virtually nill. The MS businesses model relies heavily on the enterprises licenses.

The company I work in IT for, has ~15,000 dell desktops, and 600 or so servers from dell, on it's network.
